Annika Hoefs

Annika is a Toronto-based artist and educator, specializing in wheel-thrown ceramics. Her interest in clay began while she was studying Textile Design at the Ontario College of Art and Design University (OCADU) where she completed her Bachelor of Material Art and Design.

Annika was drawn to clay for the immediate and tangible nature of hand building and wheel throwing, enjoying the process and the different stages clay goes through from start to finish. Years later, she continues to be intrigued by the endless possibilities and challenges offered by the medium.
